Instructions
Begin by placing the mixed berries in a medium-sized bowl. Use a fork to gently mash the berries until you reach your preferred consistency.
Next, add the maple syrup (or honey), chia seeds, fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of sea salt to the mashed berries. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Allow the berry mixture to rest for about 5-10 minutes to thicken.
For a smoother jam, briefly blend the mixture using a hand blender until you achieve the desired texture.
Taste your jam and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or honey.
Carefully transfer the jam to a clean glass jar or an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
