Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well mixed and the oats are fully coated.
Carefully divide the oat mixture evenly between two mason jars or airtight containers. Make sure to leave some space at the top for the coffee and toppings.
Gently pour a layer of cooled espresso or brewed coffee over the top of each jar without stirring. This allows for a lovely layered effect, enhancing presentation.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce atop each jar, allowing it to cascade down through the oats and coffee.
Seal the jars with their lids and place them in the refrigerator. Let them chill overnight, or for a minimum of 4 hours, to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and flavors.
When you’re ready to enjoy your oats in the morning, stir the contents of each jar to blend the flavors. If you prefer a creamier texture, feel free to add a splash of additional almond milk to achieve your desired consistency.
For the finishing touch, top your oats with whipped cream, a drizzle of extra caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings, if desired.
Notes
Serve directly in mason jars for a charming look. Add fresh fruit or nuts for extra texture.
